I found this on a shareware web site. The deception speaks for itself…

Believe it or not, the Catholic Church has given its blessing to have developed Little i Apps, LLC release a ‘Confession’ app for iPhone and iPad. Version 1.0.1 is already available as an update to the original release. It brings (what else?) fixed prayers, and a bunch of other code corrections.

“Designed to be used in the confessional, this app is the perfect aid for every penitent,” Little i Apps, LLC explains.

“With a personalised examination of conscience for each user, password protected profiles, and a step-by-step guide to the sacrament, this app invites Catholics to prayerfully prepare for and participate in the Rite of Penance,” the app’s official description reads.

“Individuals who have been away from the sacrament for some time will find Confession: A Roman Catholic App to be a useful and inviting tool.”

According to its makers, the Confession app offers simple features like custom examination of Conscience based upon age, sex, and vocation (single, married, priest, or religious), and multiple user support with password protected accounts.

But the list of key benefits doesn’t stop here.

No sir. In fact, users can actually “add sins not listed in standard examination of conscience,” according to the list of key features for Confession: A Roman Catholic App.
